So this is a question i have about the FAFSA. I am currently a college student studying in the midwest, in my mid 20's, going to be getting married soon. currently i am getting only loan offers from the FAFSA, no grants due to my specific situation. i have been told that after getting married the FAFSA offers better things for students, and i am trying to get at least a rough plan for my future financially with my soon to be spouse.
I am able to work part time during school, full time when school stops or goes on breaks, and do summer sales currently to try to make enough to not need to go into super debt for school. My Fiancee is a foreign national who due to a number of different reasons will not be able to work for at least a few months to maybe a year or more, so i will be the main financial provider for the house.
so in my planning i was wondering if people can share if they know what the FAFSA may offer for young married college students? I just want to know how much i should hope or partially plan for financial help from the FAFSA that i would want to accept. I am sure a number of different factors will make a difference, but i am hoping for just a general idea on if i should expect anything at all that could help me.
~thanks~
