Basically if something happens like a government shut down and I don't recieve my VA or SSDI checks, so I can't pay my bills, what will happen? In situations like this do banks and utility companies get forced to give us extra time? I only have enough in savings to cover things like food and gas money, not my 4k in monthly bills (mortgage, utilities, debt, etc).
What will shut down first or screw me first? Will my utilities shut off? How long does all of this have to go on for me to lose my house or get taken to court over credit card debt? If I start receiving my checks again but it has been 2+ months, aka I don't have enough money to cover the entire missed payments, what will it take to get to where I'm not getting charged extra fees and interest monthly if I'm an entire month behind financially?
I'm sorry if these are dumb questions. I'm kinda panicking.
