I have money in a Schwab savings account. (SWVXX). Every month I receive an interest/dividend payment that gets re-invested and deposited into my account around the 16th of every month.
Here’s my question. If I were planning to withdraw a large chunk of money from this account, is it to my benefit to wait until the 17th (after the interest is paid)? If I withdrew on say, the 12th, would I get no interest paid on that money on the 16th or would I still get a prorated interest payment for 26/30 days on the amount that I just withdrew on the 12th?
