Since the Pandemic I started learning how to give myself haircuts, using an $18 clipper I bought at Walmart and several tutorials on YouTube. A couple of bad haircuts and then I got very good at it. One of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Not only no stress anymore to deal with barbers, the wait there, and the being unsatisfied afterwards, but also saved so much money - at least 300$ a year. I passed by a Sport Clips today because I have a broken finger and using a clipper on myself is not the easiest…It quickly reminded myself of why cutting your own hair is possibly one of the best frugal decisions you can make (signup online and then $34 for a cut? And then maybe a tip too? No thanks). In short: I can recommend learning how to and then cut your own hair enough.
