I work full time in a deli and make about $300/wk depending on my hours, but my hours are consistent. Usually it's about 35-37 or so. I have my phone bill, which is $55, and a few subscriptions. I have $1600 in savings currently. I'm looking to learn financial responsibility, and learn how to be truly self disciplined. I'm perpetually saving for a car. I generally spend my money on amazon purchases, drugs, etc (just being honest). My vices, you could say. Part of me wants more bills just to learn that responsibility but I guess I'll learn that in the future. I know I sound naive in that regard. Any tips on what I could do not to spend my money every week and increase savings? The answer is very simple, I know, but I want/need to learn financial responsibility. If I have the money, I'll eventually spend it, with the exception of always paying my phone bill in advance, and putting money aside for savings. I have my savings, available money, and what I call my "fun fund", that I put money into every week for spontaneous expenses I may want to go for if I happen to be out that day, and I'm low on available money. I want to have my financials mapped out to a T in the end of things. I like having things layed out clearly and concisely. What do you think?
