I had a very short telephone call with a new doctor to get a prescription for anxiety medicine a month ago. Now I’m being billed $680 for this call. I know that I haven't reached my deductible yet with my insurance (I had to change insurance earlier this year due to moving), so I was expecting to pay more than usual, but I definitely wasn't expecting the amount to be this high and I would not have made the appointment if I had known. I would get it if this were for an emergency room visit or something, but it was just a short phone call and prescription order. I'm being told that this isn't usual and I should dispute it but I'm not sure how. I called them and they confirmed it was the right amount. Any advice/thoughts?
