Hi all, I’m 23 years old and recently inherited a fair bit of money and was thinking about investing it. As of right now I have about $2k that I am willing to throw at this, and in the future, when I get more installments of the inheritance (roughly $30k a year for the next couple of years), I may contemplate investing this too. I've looked through this sub and everybodys main suggestion seems to be to open a Roth IRA, which isn’t really applicable to me as I’m not an American citizen (UK) and do not plan on living here until my 50s. I’m aware of all the wonder stories of people investing in bitcoin/crypto and as of right now I think this is the direction that I will take with investing the money I have, especially considering how well crypto is doing right now. I have a few questions that I would truly appreciate some advice on. Any help would be really appreciated.

  1. When I start my portfolio, how should I determine the proportional distribution of my various investments?

  2. After the research that I have done so far, I think I should start with an online broker and buy stocks or ETF’s. Does anyone have any recommendations for low-cost brokers or in general, any tips for a beginner like me?

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks
