I had a great job but I've been laid off since February with no real sign of being called back due to that market almost vanishing. There are still a lot of other opportunities in the company across the country for 50k to 70k per year as well as good benefits.
That being said I've only rented so far in my life but it was because I grew up here and knew people personally so I was able to rent decently cheap as well as having no rules ( I have a big dog for example ). Now when I look for places to rent literally anywhere in the country I just cant find anything that would make sense and I'm assuming its just because people just dont post rentals online as much. I can find places to buy that is reasonable for my price range around 70k to 100k.
As for my credit history I've never made a late payment in my life, my FICO score hovers around 750 and I spend every penny of my expenses through 3 of my credit cards. As for debt I have 1600 in a 0% interest credit card that has 14 months left of 0%, I have around 10k left on my car and thats it.
The problem I feel like I'll face is that I'll be getting a job the same time that I'm trying to buy a house so I'm not going to have a history of pay stubs to give them or anything like that as well as having a steady job history even though I've always worked consistently up until this year.
Anyone have some advice for me because I manage my money and credit good but have no idea how to go about this part of life lol.
Edit: I forgot to mention that another problem I would have is that I only have around 7k or maybe 8k in cash right now so I basically have no down payment as I would need quite a bit of this just to move.
