I am an ex gambler who is looking for ways to establish a savings account and have it be extremely inconvenient to access the money as a lump sum. I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on how to achieve this.
Any ideas on how to have an account where money can go in easily but be very challenging to get out would be extremely helpful. Some ideas I've heard so far are things like setting up a trust with a family member, or only allowing money to be withdrawn in cash in person. Preferably this money would sit in something like Vanguard where it can be invested.
This could also apply to any redditors who have had issues with overspending: have you found ways to make it hard/impossible for yourself to access your savings?
Thank you for the consideration!
