I know I’m preaching to the choir on this but here goes. I love the thrift store! I have started shopping there just as I would a department store for specific items and have always been successful! Recently I wanted a very specific end table. I found the exact one on the first trip with the bonus of it being painted the exact shade of my pre-existing curtains.
Too, I was in the market for a new stainless steel travel cup for my daughter. Again, i looked at goodwill and found one on the first trip. Safety sealed, care instructions still inside and in my daughter’s school colors.
Today, i went looking for a rack to hold my free weights. I found a narrow solid wood two tier foot stool which will now hold my 2lbs, 3lbs, 5lbs , and 8lbs dumbells, as well as my 10 pound kettle balls. I’ll hang the resistance bands from a command hook. It looks awesome in my small work out area.
Making the thrift store my 1st stop for specific items has saved me well over $150 this year and kept things out of the landfill! The stuff I acquired is in great or new condition and is what I would have purchased at target/amazon. Also, it cost me no more time than I would have spent shopping elsewhere. Yay!
