If I’m not prepared or careful or even just emotional, I get off-track with my spending. Last week, I had a couple of emotional things come up and spent money eating out nearly everyday and buying things I felt like I just had to have. It’s not alarming but it does affect me until the next paycheck. It almost feels like an alter-ego just takes over and pushes away my defenses - then I feel too guilty to check my bank account. I think this might be a stress thing that I’m just realizing. How do you deal with your off-track spending? Are there any ideas to build better walls of defense?
