My head gasket blew while I was in Pittsburgh, PA. I needed my car towed to Morgantown, WV. I waited for AAA for ~10 hours before they finally told me that they couldn't find an operator but would reimburse me for a tow that I arranged. Fine. I did that and called in to get the proper regional reimbursement form, filled it out, submitted it with a copy of my tow bill. It's been over a month and I have yet to hear anything at all. I've called the number to check the status of it countless times and it ALWAYS goes to this lady's voicemail. They won't reimburse claims that are older than $60. The tow was $400 and, as a grad student, I need that money. Has anyone had any luck actually getting reimbursed? If so, what did you do?
