I'd like to mount one of our old TVs on an actuating arm that swings out so it can be hidden behind our bedroom door, but the wall I'm hoping to mount on is actually the side of our closet and doesn't have any studs. Also, my rudimentary engineering/geometry skills tell me every inch the actuating arm moves the TV away from the wall, the relative weight of the TV/force put on that drywall is going to multiply....I've found a TV mount that would allow me to use like 8 x drywall anchors (like those SnapToggle ones) rather than just 2, which would hopefully spread the weight somewhat, but will it be enough for a ~30lbs TV or is it asking for trouble?? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2KaIO8a
