Hey guys, I'm at a loss here. I'm replacing a kitchen faucet cause our old one broke, sounds easy enough right? Well, the first step is to remove the nuts on the mounting bolts so I can physically pull the sink off. At first these things did not want to turn with the finger spinners and I couldn't fit a wrench up there, so I went and bought a flexhead wrench, and at first it seemed to be working, problem solved, but as I kept turning I realized its spinning the whole freaking bolt instead of the nut alone. Any attempt to hold the bolt in place while turning the nut results in the wrench beginning to strip out the plastic nut. What am I supposed to do here? I feel like a moron. Edit: picture of my problem http://imgur.com/gallery/dYGaVM2UPDATE: Thanks for the help y'all. I've determined that the best way to fix it is to break it. I tried both tools suggested but the thing just refuses to move, so once I can find replacements of those I'll be smashing them apart with a chisel and just putting new ones on later. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/31XVtDF
