I've only had a credit card for a few years so my credit history is fairly new. My only two cards are a US bank cash+ and the Costco Anywhere Visa.
I only got the Costco card a month ago because I knew I needed another card and I was just starting my membership at costco so they offered it to me. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best choice because I don't shop at Costco too often.
Paying on time is not a problem for me. I have a stable income, and I've never paid late. My credit score is 740-750ish.
I don't know how many hard inquiries or new accounts look bad. The costco card is the only hard inquiry on my credit report right now. Would it be bad to open another credit card anytime soon? How long should I wait before getting a 3rd card?
It's not that I need more credit, I'd just like a better card to get more cash back on certain purchases. The US bank card only gives me 2% back on grocery stores, 1% on most everything else.
The costco card gives me 4% on "eligible" (still not sure what this means gas, 2% at costco, and 3% at restaurants. I don't like how its distributed only once a year and in the form of a certificate.
