I am currently painting a lot of areas of our bedroom white, over old varnished wood - some wood I have sanded down where easy to do, other bits are just to intricate to access. However, the paint has gone on fine and it looks good. I am keen to ensure the paint does not get dirty/water marked etc - what is the best way to do this? I presume with some form of clear varnish that I can just put a coat on where I feel it is warranted?
