We bought a house over a year ago and one of our fire alarms is constantly chirping, the only problem is we can’t find the alarm. We have disconnected all the electric and it still chirps, we replaced all the batteries on the alarms we could find, we unplugged the other fire alarms, again, it still chirps. The alarm just went off while cooking, but it was a beep beep beep, pause, beep beep beep. We quickly turned the electric off hoping that the battery would drain as all our other alarms are hard wired, this one doesn’t seem to be linked to the others, it stopped after about 15 mins and started chirping again. We cannot find the alarm anywhere, we tried asking the guy we bought the house off but he’s a cow boy builder and probably hid the alarm inside the plaster board, our whole house is brick covered in plaster board so the alarm could easily be in the wall/ceiling, we know it’s downstairs, but our downstairs in open planned so it’s not very helpful. We contacted the person who fitted the other alarms and they were also useless. It’s also not a carbon monoxide alarm as we have them.Who on earth would we even contact to help find this alarm? It’s been 7 months and I want to smash the house apart it’s driving me insane. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2FDRdB7
