Had a couple people over and we got to talking about how we saved money/got a deal/worked the system whatever. Not very often do people feel comfortable to talk about being “cheap” as many other people see it.
Best deal: $1200 tires haggled down to $400
Lowest deal: scanning code of practice mid priced 1lb of butter $3.99.
Where I live if the price on the shelf and cashier price are different you get first item for free upto $10. Eg, butter was showing as 3.99 but scanned in for 4.29. Since it was wrong I get first one free and any others at 3.99. I bought two so I got one free.
It was a great conversation that had tons of input.
