Needed a new laptop since the old one was dead but didn't want to spend a lot of money. Chromebooks seemed appealing but unfortunately, for what I wanted (a 13" HD screen, with atleast 4 gigs of ram and 32 gigs of ssd), it was really difficult to find one for under 350 CAD (270 USD). But as I was shopping around, I noticed that there were plenty of laptops that fit my specs but were running some bastardized version of Windows that really didn't create for a good experience (Windows is a huge drain on resources for what I need). So I ordered one of these laptops that typically go for under 300 CAD and I was even able to snag one on sale for 250 CAD (190 USD). I wiped the Windows and replaced it with Chromium OS from Neverware. If that didn't work I was going to install a barebones Linux and change it to look and function like Chrome OS myself but I didn't have to do that.

All in all I basically got a Chromebook with a 13.3 inch screen with FHD resolution, 4 gigs of ram, and a 32 gig ssd for 250 CAD which is a hell of a deal. There is a bunch of these Windows laptops around on Amazon and they are cheaper than comparable Chromebooks because these things make horrible Windows laptops but great Chromebooks. If anyone is interested in doing the same thing there is plenty of tutorials on YouTube on how to install Neverware's Chromium OS and/or other Linux distributions on computers so it doesn't require a ton of technical know how.
