I bought two of these monitors back in 2013 and within the first 6 months, I began having flickering problems with one of the monitors. The picture would flicker and my remedy had been to tap the underside of the monitors (right below the connection points). I used to do that every day and this 'solution' would work for the day, until recently. Now tapping the back only allows the picture to stay on for a few seconds to a minute before the screen goes black. I called LG and they want $150 to repair. A new ultrawide can be had for a little over $200 so it's best that I either find a cheaper way to fix this (including myself) or buy a new monitor. Since the other monitor still works well, I want to attempt a repair on my own.Does anyone know of a resource (a youtube video or another thread) where someone has documented their own repair? Since the picture can still be seen and the screen is not damaged, it seems some connection is loose and the solution shouldn't be too extreme. I don't have any tech repair expertise so any help would be greatly appreciated.https://ift.tt/2zQyleg this post and decided to ask for help here: https://ift.tt/1JxWIxU via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Ro6A3a
