I have got this beautiful old Singer sewing machine - the mechanic ones with those filigree cast iron standings - and I like to restore it into its old beauty. However, it stood for half a century in a cellar and is deeply infected by rust. Is there a possibility to treat this as an amateur without killing me with the potential operation devices?
