I'm mid way through repainting my kitchen cabinets and so far I've wiped with TSP, sanded, applied Benjamin Moore Advance primer, and 1 coat of Benjamin Moore Advance paint. I should note I'm painting over oil based paint and the color I'm painting is the same color as previous. So far everything looks great! My question is, can I get away with just 1 coat of primer and 1 coat of paint? Since it's the same color as before there's no issues with another color or wood showing through.
