I come from a family it hoarders, but I'm looking at moving out in the next few months, and I want to keep things simple.

Would a couple lounging chairs and a couple dining chairs be alright? I'm not expecting much company, but there will be times I bring someone over, and I want them to have a place to sit, too. I won't have a TV. I will have a computer for important stuff and a phone but nothing else. I'm thinking about selling or giving away things that I don't need like my guitar, DS, and a lot of my clothes I don't wear.

I don't plan on buying a couch, a TV, a big dining table, or anything like that. I don't need any of those. I don't watch TV, a small dining room table is big enough for two people (I don't take up space when eating.)

What are the necessities? What can I go without without health risks? (For example, what foods can I cut out without cutting out important nutrients. I already quit soda, I'm thinking about quitting coffee, I've quit candy) I especially need fiber because of health issues, and I prefer to get it naturally. (Besides, there's a lot of healthy food high in fiber.) I can eat less, but if I eat too little, it can cause a bunch of health problems as well as make it where my meds don't work.

I know I don't need a chair, but I'm not going to go without them completely, especially if the apartment has hard ground or hard carpets. (There's a point where discomfort turns into actual pain.) Though if the ground is soft, I may go without recliners.

Growing up, I had a lot. I realized having so much distracts me from the joys of life, so I decided to live simple. I'm not used to it, though, so how can I start? I can definitely get rid of everything I don't use as a start.

Tl;dr

What are the basic necessities to live a healthy life, and how do I adjust to this new lifestyle.
