Hey there. I work best having consistency in my days, otherwise I find myself caught in the vortex of procrastination and time-sucking activities. Unfortunately, every 'daily routine' I create ends up too busy, especially with having a normal 9-5 job. I dread doing it and it becomes more like a list of chores than a list of enriching, self-care activities. Below are the tasks I'd like to get around to daily:
- Walk my dog two times a day, feed her two times a day, and brush her two times a day
- Do the 7-Minute Workout with my fiance
- Get dressed, do my makeup, and do my hair
- Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Tidy up the house
- Read outside on the porch
- Read before bed
- Sit by the apartment pool with my fiance to get some sun (we both spend 99% of our time indoors)
- Meditate
- Take vitamins
- Drink multiple glasses of water
- And get any particular chores/projects done
As you can see, this list becomes rather crowded and feels a lot less simple than I'd like. This isn't even including any "extra" hobbies like writing or working on music. If it makes a difference, I find I really enjoy sensual touches like lighting a candle while making dinner or adding lemon to my water in order to increase my enjoyment of the activity.
tl;dr Trying to create a daily routine that still allows me to accomplish my goals, but is more in line with simple living. The routine I have now is busy and hectic.
