A few weeks ago a YouTune ad for Root Insurance piqued my interest as it gives you an insurance rate based on your actual driving (braking, turning, consistency) and they only insure good drivers, if you don’t meet there standards you don’t get a quote.
We downloaded the app it and based on our driving it took about 3 weeks to get a quote and when we did it was worth it. We are now saving just over $100 per month after switching from our prior carrier where our rates kept going up every six months despite never having tickets or accidents. Other carriers we would quote with would always come out much higher.
Definitely worth checking out if you drive safely and it’s available in your state! Should be available in your smart phones App Store/market.
