I mostly can't help myself. My grandparents were Great Generation/Depression era. I recycle aluminum and tin, even if I have to drive 45 miles, to do it.
How many meals can you get out of that? I think I'm at 7 and 4 cups of rich stock. I found myself cutting meat off of legs and scraping tendons for a chicken casserole. Threw the scraps in my instant pot and brewed up some more stock.
It's my first try at a chicken, broccoli, rice casserole after 50 years of cooking. In an instant pot! It's not bad.
