Hi there, I browse this sub a lot to figure out small ways to cut bills and this sub has been extremely useful to me. I recently just ended my bundle promotion deal with comcast. My boyfriend and I had splurged a bit and decided we wanted a package that could keep up with all of our internet usage as well as not having to pay for cable. We are both college students so we are constantly using the internet, plus we are both pretty introverted and save money by staying in most evenings, so we stream netflix a lot and play video games. I found an internet package last year with a bundle deal of 54.99 where I receive 100 mbps of internet as well as blast! I figured this was a fantastic deal and we were all about cutting the cord for cable.
Recently, our promotion has ended and now we’re at the set price of 79.99 a month. I called comcast customer service hoping I could find a better deal by talking with their representatives, and I told the representative that I simply cannot afford to pay more than what I am already paying. She helped me find deals but in the end I felt she more tried to deceive me as she suggested a package that was about ten dollars less, until I reviewed all the fees. Then it would make our bill go up by $20 more.
Unfortunately my apartment complex has a contract with Comcast, otherwise i’d be looking into ways to get a new provider. Is there any way we can get the price down for our bill?
I am just concerned that their prices will continue rising as I continue being a customer.
