I posted this on the UKPF sub-reddit, but this reddit has more users and a lot of EU/UK users also. I'm just trying to help.

Since posting this on the UKPF sub-reddit yesterday, four people have posted or messaged and said they've been blocked on twitter since asking for help or asking for their money to be returned. It seems to me to be part of an elaborate scam, they're definitely blocking out their criticism to make it seem perfect, but in reality the fake reviews now seem more apparent.

Hi all, this may be a long post but I know others will gain some benefit from it so I will post it.

Where do I start? I joined Revolut a few months ago and had been using it fine, I topped up my account past my limit the other week and got blocked for "security reasons" on Saturday. I thought no problem, it's a weekend so I submitted the documents necessary and was told I'd hear back in a hour... today is Thursday afternoon and I've still had nothing back.

I asked them on twitter if they'd received my message and if all was okay, I got the blunt response "They have" and then I asked a day later if there's anyway to escalate my query as I needed access to my money immediately... they then blocked me(?!?!!). I made a new twitter and sent them a message asking why they blocked me, they blocked that account also.

I then messaged on facebook, read but ignored. I see on the App Store & Trustpilot all their "positive" reviews with 5 stars. But their service is anything but, I know over 10+ people that use Revolut and all complain of their non-existant customer service. They're supposedly valued at 1.6B, but they can't afford to hire more customer service representatives? It doesn't seem right to me.

All of their reviews talk of glowing support etc, but if you look on their community board or search twitter for "Revolut support", you'll see it's all lies. All everyone does is complain for a lack of service.

And let's not get started about how they offer crypto services, but you can't withdraw them, you're basically asking them to invest but you can't touch your money... it's essentially being held by them as a promise you've bought crypto-currency.

I can't stress enough, look at their twitter, they're too busy responding with gifs of old people and drinking to respond to their "huge backlog of queries" but they find the time to respond to every trustpilot review.

I honestly, strongly avoid using this shoddy company at all costs. To me, it looks like they're scamming people by refusing access, look at the people on the community board who are travelling but cannot access their money for 6+ days. Imagine being in a foreign country, relying on this card but unable to use it for 5 days because their support is too busy tweeting gifs.

They also have a "vault" system now, that rounds up your pennies to save for you. Someone complained on twitter and said the £2.00 purchase rounded up another £1.00 to be saved somehow (so this essentially is bugged, but is released publicly - yet another thing that's shoddy and untested). And all they did was respond with a gif saying whoopsie, no asking for investigation etc.

Please people, stay vigilant, I've lost money due to their stupidity - don't fall for the same tricks. I had no clue where to post this, but since this sub-reddit sometimes asks these questions, please use my words of warning as advice.
