I live in a house that was made in the 60s, on the bathroom is a normal door handle but below the handle is a small knob that can be turned to lock the door, very standard so far but here is the tricky part, when that lock is engaged it doesnt make the lock slide out from the door mechanism, all that lock does is move a small metal plate in the way of the handle so you cant push down on it, the actual mechanism is the same as a normal door handle. For the life of me i cant figure out what to search for as i need a replacement as the lock has worn away and wont stop the handle being opened anymore.I hope i did this correctly, i read the rules so I think its all ok. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2o49sVb
