http://ift.tt/2CNUcSv I just installed a automotive Thermal Camera on my car, but have run into a odd issue I did not forseeRight now, if i drive through light rain, after a few minutes enough get on the front the camera starts adjusting and the background gets too dark to see - and no I can't adjust the temperature span on this thermal cameras(on some you can)I have considered putting plastic wrap in front as thermal cameras see through plastic - but it does degrade the image a noticeable bit- so it's not the best bandpass I suppose.I doubt I can put something on the front as that lens is probably coated- and that's actually why the droplets stick. I was surprised to learn that the camera starts adjusting if the water droplets themselves are on the surface of it- otherwise it's unaffected if it's just trying to see through rain(I am already long aware thermal cameras don't see through layers of water- but didn't think that'd apply to drops)Any suggestions? I know this is a unique problem to have, but considering as we speak, the market for these is heating up(with multiple shown at CES)- more will run into this problem as these get more widespread and more enter the market for cars. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2DdjQAX
