Edit I mean lengthened.I recently bought a condo. The staircases have steps that I feel are too short for my feet-- when I go down them, it feels more comfortable to turn slightly and have my feet diagonal on them. Going up, I have to walk on the balls of my feet. If I tried to put my heels down, I would fall backwards.Since the diagonal run of the staircase has to be the same, is it theoretically possible to tear out the steps and replace them with longer, more-spaced-out steps?Second, would it be financially worthwhile to do this? This is not just aesthetics; I really feel I could fall or trip down the steps at some point if I'm not always careful on them. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2DppUWF
