I'm reupholstering a pair of tulip-style chairs from 1950. The plan is to remove all the fabric and cushioning and apply primer and high-gloss paint. The fabric removal was easy enough, but the cushion is glued to the seat and is a nightmare to remove. I got all the big chunks off using a flexible metal putty knife after a plastic one crapped out on me. Thing is, all the gritty, decades old dried adhesive is not coming off!I applied some Goo Gone which didn't help, and I have a little mouse sander that I started with, but the chair is so curvy that the sander can't get in everywhere. Can you recommend a chemical treatment or another type of sander that can navigate the curves better? I thought to use those spongy sanding blocks and go by hand, but I only have high-grit ones now so they're not helping. I might pick up a low-grit one and give it a whirl.PictureThanks in advance! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2n1zybF
