I have an old butcher block - big heavy square with heavy wooden legs - that I used as a center island in our old house. Our new house (well, we've lived here awhile) has a built in center island and is more open and doesn't fit the butcher block look. I've wanted to do something creative with it - but also hated to ruin it. It's mainly been a corner table with orchids on it for awhile. I would love to find something more creative to do with it.
