Hey, not sure how to word this but will try my best, this is the first place i really thought of for advice.

Situation:

  • Was put on the wrong university course and was not given an opportunity to swap back to my original so decided to try and make the most of it

  • Failed first year was explicitly given two options too either defer or resit not being told i could swap courses

  • End up resitting deciding there was a chance i could possibly pass and make the best out of the situation every meeting when i brought up was on the wrong course the lecturers would gloss over it and not pay attention

  • Fail the repeat year, turns out i have a real inability to code at a university level with no prior experience go figure,

  • Get told i could swap back to business, get told 2 weeks before the start of term that where i was told my funding would come through it now wouldn't

  • Start new year with no student loan starting year on -£900 out of my £1500 overdraft, i speak to financial support they advise i took it up with the uni to get them to help me with my funding

  • Now behind on rent which i cant pay due to lack of funding and no-one having money in the bank in my family. Get to mid December after exclusively going to lectures doing assignments and trying to find away to get the uni to give me funding

  • Get told the uni will not take responsibility saying in the mix up with my courses i was required to sign a piece of paper saying im happy to swap courses, they could not find this piece of paper but said explicitly that it would have to have been signed and responsibility is also mine

  • Talk to my landlord last week and he is pretty chill a bit peeved i didn't got to him for help though, he tells me that its fine i can pay back rent as soon as i can and he wouldn't chase it up legally and that he will cut my semester 2/3 house payments if i can find someone to replace me in the house and move in in my space

  • Get an email from the uni saying they waived my tuition fees for this year as a kind of apology i guess since the financial department had already been in contact with me and since i dropped out the fees went from 9000 for the year to 2250 so they dropped it which was nice

But now i'm in the situation where i'm now technically a dropout with a maxed out overdraft of -£1450 with an additional £1500 owed for rent for my house payments and i have no idea what my options are here have signed up for a few recruitment agencies but i don't have a very padded out CV would just like some advice on what my options are and where i can go from here

I think i followed all the rules for posting here even though my formatting is horrendous if anyone has any questions feel free to ask away my explaining is not always the clearest at times

TL;DR: not in crippling debt but currently a uni drop out with no way of paying off my loans as of now where do i go from here?
