Hello. Thanks for you help - I read the guidelines and this seems to fit but apologies if I got something wrong and am posting in the wrong place (full disclosure I also posted this in interior decorating)I polyfilled a small but longish crack in the ceiling prior to giving it a new paintjob. Unfortunately I'm having trouble getting the ceiling perfectly level via sanding and you can still see some of the polyfilla either side of the crack. I'd say the polyfilla is less that 1mm thick, and I'll continue to sand, but it's persistent and I'm not sure if I'll get things perfectly level (I am hand sanding). And even at 1mm, it's very noticeable if you look up at the ceiling. What would happen if I painted the ceiling now? I presume a layer of paint is thicker than 1mm (?) - would the slightly uneven surface disappear?
