Long story short: One of the little shits in my life put water in the fuel tank a while ago and I want to repair it now to use in a project with my son. It's a Masport 490 with a 4 stroke 150cc Briggs and Stratton (I think it's a 635 or 675 - not sure and it's past midnight here so I'm not going out to check).I have a few rebuild manuals and am confident enough in my mechanical ability and can follow directions and diagrams so I'm not worried about that. The manuals don't cover specific issues to repair though. What should I be looking out for in this case? I'm expecting to find some rust inside from the water that got into the engine when it broke down - what is the best way to remove this? I'm thinking an acid wash but not sure if that's a good idea.also, any tips or advice to make it easier (other than getting a professional to do it) would be great via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2xAlyMA
