It's a really long story and made a throwaway to keep my personal stuff personal, basically I come from an abusive household and I'm looking to finally leave/move out, the only problem is that my parents HATE the idea of me leaving and have complete control over my bank account (it was one of those joined accounts made when I was still a minor and they still control it) when I tried to make my own account and transfer the money out my parents cancelled the transaction and basically threatened to report me to the police if I ever tried something like that again.
Is there anything I can do to save up besides just making a new account from 0 and working from there? Is all the money in my current account basically gone? I honestly just don't know where to start or what to even do. I also have school to worry about and from research I've basically found the cheapest housing around me would be 1.4k, then I figured gas, food, and misc would make it come to about 1.5~1.6 a month. If I plan to continue going to school that would be roughly another $1000 for units, books, supplies, etc. (I go to a community college).
From work I bring in about $2000 a month, would that even be enough to sustain myself at that point?
I know this probably sounds super stupid and I'm not even sure if this belongs here, I just don't know where to start. If this doesn't belong here then where would I start for something like this?
