We bought a house recently that had a small leak that the previous owners never addressed. Needless to say, the basement carpet has a musty funk to it and we are ripping it up and replacing it with laminate. A few questions below:Do we need to seal it before putting laminate down? If so, what would you recommend using? Will sealing it help mitigate any radon? If we discover any cracks in the slab (I don't anticipate it, but it's good to have a game plan should we find one), what should we do to fix it?Any advice would be greatly appreciated. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2gG3U2Y
