Just about a year ago I purchased my first house with my GF, in that year, we have found time to remodel only our living room (paint, furniture, crown molding). Between work, dogs, family and life in general, we haven't found much time to work on our home, but now that's it summer, we are in full swing. In the spur of the moment, my GF and I decided that our bathroom needed a little work. Since we each had a few days off for the 4th, we figured it was the perfect weekend to try to do it (totally forgot about the 5 projects that we have started and haven't finished). We decided to do it on a budget since our money is better invested in other areas of the house. This was my first project that included floors, but I am honestly very proud of what we accomplished in roughly 2 days. The entire project cost ~$150.00, we decided to spend more and get some "fancy" vinyl countertop adhesive, that looks like white marble, hopefully it doesn't look to fake/cheap, but the painted counter we have now has water marks on it.Before: http://ift.tt/2tM1sN0: http://ift.tt/2uKdnrV of the Floors: http://ift.tt/2tMiQBl decided to try to paint the tile and I worked great, I used Gripper paint to start and then 2 coats of Behr Markee, I will finish with a water-based urethane when I get home. The floors a peel and stick vinyl, that I grouted. It looks great and only cost $50, was very easy to install.I just wanted to share this project because it was cheaper than expected and I'm actually pretty proud of my first project like this. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2uKn89v
