18M in Texas. Got a job at a new Tex mex restraunt as a busser. Had one training so far, got the employee handbook, already hired. But I haven't started working cause the restraaunt hasn't yet opened? (Unclear) the general managers communication skills are that of a middle schooler. He hasn't replied to my text in exactly a week. The last message he sent was "I will call you early this week. We have one more inspection."
They were scheduled to open early last week but they haven't. I've already missed out on two weeks of work. Can I legally start looking for a new job. As far as I know I'm employed by the restraunt but haven't started working yet.
