Living in a building where the stairs into my apartment need to be replaced. It's an interior staircase with light daily traffic, coming from the street so there will be some dust, occasional snow and/or rainwater carried in. Essentially its a metal stair base with what seems to be wooden treads glued on top. My plan is to rip out the old treads, clean up. Stain and seal the new stair treads, let the acclimatize for a few days. Glue in the new stair treads in place, put some weights on top, have a beer.Using the following products:Natural Unfinished Red Oak Wood Stair Tread LINKLoctite PL Premium adhesive LINKRust-Oleum 269398 Varathane Stain LINKRust-Oleum Varathane 9341H Oil Based Outdoor Spar Urethane LINKDAP Crystal Clear 3.0 Sealant LINKI will also be renting a table saw from HD to be able to cut the treads.Am I thinking in the right direction? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2rILAcy
