Hi. Throwaway because my partner knows my reddit account.
The time has come for me to move out of my current living/romantic situation and I need some help figuring out how to do it as quickly as possible. I am in a controlling situation where my SO hasn't wanted me to work for the past couple of years and instead stay at home and take care of the house, so I haven't been working and have $0 saved. I have a job interview tomorrow and have been applying to many more jobs + I occasionally do 3-5 day gigs that usually average $500 take home pay. I have one of these scheduled for the end of August and one for the beginning of October. I know that I will need to find roommates, I'm not too concerned about that as I know several people. I don't have a car or a drivers license, and take public transportation everywhere, which is not a big deal. I'm also considering asking a close friend if I can sleep on their couch for a little bit.
I know that as soon as I start working things are going to rapidly get worse. What can I do to prepare myself to leave? What can I do to leave as soon as possible? I'm so lost, but can't be in this situation anymore.
Thank you for your help
tldr: need to move out quickly. no car, no credit, no savings, job interviews lined up. totally lost.
