I'm new to this sub but was hoping for some advice
So a few months back T-Mobile had a "credit" offer that allowed my mom, brother, and I to upgrade our iPhone 6's for the new iPhone 7's. According to the associates that we spoke with, we wouldn't be paying for the differences, asides from the rebates. My mom and I were quite skeptical so we asked at other T-Mobile stores, they all reassured us that we had enough "store credit" earned by paying bills promptly. My mom then placed the order for our phones, with her updated card (she had canceled her old debit card because it was lost). Although my mom had updated her card, T-Mobile's incompetent staff charged the old card and was obviously denied. The order was placed again a week later with the updated card and we got our phones.
The issue: T mobile is now charging my mom monthly for three iPhones that she had been "credited". She has spent many many hours speaking with customer service and visited the store where the order was placed, and other stores but they all say the same thing, that she has to pay because the credit wasn't applicable. She has a copy of the contract but it doesn't mention anything about credit. I'm hoping for some advice.
TLDR: T-Mobile staff was unsure and incompetent of providing clear information on their plan. My mom is now being forced to pay.
