I am 25 years old, about to turn 26 in November and thus will lose the ability to stay on my parent's health insurance.
Info:
- Female TX resident
- Live with parents
- Full time college student, part time employed
- Graduate in 2 years
- Low income. I gross around $25,000/year on a really good year, but that number will likely go down as I finish school. Won't have as much time to work, I estimate earnings of $10-20,000 for the next two years?
- On prescription acne and birth control
I was told I do not qualify for TX medicaid because I am not a parent and am not pregnant.
I really need assistance and low-no cost healthcare because my income mostly goes to tuition and living expenses. I'd like to continue taking my current medications.
What are my options?
