So my brother, Mom and myself rent a house together. Recently my brother was in an accident and lost his job because of a back injury. He is struggling to find work because of the injury and we are working on a lawsuit with an attorney but right now my mom and I can't afford rent by ourselves.
Our landlord told us we need to pay by this weekend and isn't willing to help out even with the circumstances. With late fees rent is going to cost $1600 which we don't have.
What can we do? We can't lose the house otherwise we are homeless... help please!
