So I'm an Insider at dominos. Minimum wage to make, prep, and serve the food essentially. The pay is rather low for the work load, but I'm lucky to have a job at this age.
I've been mostly satisfied up until this past week, where I was given only 12 hours. Today was my first day scheduled to work this week, and I come in to discover next week I only have 8 hours.
My schedule is extremely open, I can work any time everyday but Sunday.
I had some complaints about one of the employees that was supposed to be training me. He essentially sits on his ass in the back 90% of his shift. He's kinda just the lazy guy in the office, and I figured he has some seniority over me, and complaining to a manager would do nothing but bad.
That guy has 35 hours scheduled next week. He's also really good friends with the GM.
It's gotten to the point where I seriously doubt my GM will give me more hours, since the other insiders barley have any more hours than me, and I don't want to work at a place where I'll only make $70 a week, but if I quit now, it'll look terrible on my resume and I won't be able to get another job any time soon.
I was going to talk to my GM during my next shift, and if she's still being ridiculous I was thinking about contacting the franchise manager to put in a complaint, or just resigning.
What should I do?
