Just got a call from my bank (TD, here in Canada), that a shared Visa credit card I have was used to make a large purchase last night. They saw the irregular activity, called me to verify, and cancelled the card as I didn't make the purchase.
The thing is, I never use this card. It's for emergencies only and it never leaves my house. I recently got an updated new card as the old one expired, and have not used it once, nor has it left my dresser drawer.
How did someone get my number and details? I'm thinking this must have been someone on Visa's end, an inside job?
