I preorder a lot of video game stuff, sometimes for resale/flipping. I shop with whichever major retailer has the best deal- Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Amazon- all three offer free and fast shipping over a certain amount, usually 35/25.
If you preorder a game with some add on items/a >25 dollar item, then cancel just the preorder, you can get the free and fast shipping/add-on item without having to meet the store's limit.
I've heard of people repercussions for this, but it's never happened to me. I'd say I've done it about 7 times with Amazon, and maybe 1-2 times with Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Anyone else do this? Has anyone here seen any consequences for doing this too often?
