Hey Reddit - this is a bit of a doozy, but I just really need some help. Basically, I defaulted on a car loan. My last payment was June of 2012. But it shows as "removed" or "closed" on Credit Karma... Depending on where I look? I was really hoping to get it taken care of somehow. Should I just leave it? I have no idea what this means.

The only "collections" that show on CK are a tuition and an old comcast thing, totalling $625. Are open collections the only things negatively affecting my account at this time? I can't find anything else active, and I have no idea how to go about dealing with an account that is "closed."

My credit score is below 500, and I'm at a place in my life where I finally have some expendable income that I don't want to waste dealing with the wrong problems.

Additionally - and less important - I just accepted a new position which comes with a pay bump, putting me in a higher tax bracket. Is there anything special I need to do to compensate for this?

Thank you all for your time and effort. I really hope this mess makes any sort of sense to you!
