Update from: r/personalfinance/comments/63v1lt/update_1_i_was_offered_a_promotion_was_forceful/
So, I let things settle down a little bit. Was offered the job at a salary higher than my "floor," but about $5k lower than what I requested.
I went back and forth on what to do about the whole unprofessional conduct, and, unfortunately felt like I didn't have much recourse without making things unbearable assuming I moved forward in the job. My boss is too close to her boss and HR to do anything meaningful.
Part of me wanted to walk away and say "that's what you get," but I also knew at bare minimum it would be a good stepping stone and, while disappointed, it was over a 25% raise.
So, I decided to forego any more back and forth, and accept the job as offered.
Thanks for everyone's support.
